We are all in this together, aren’t we? :)
It was an unusual lunch today. The maid had lost someone dear to her and we had lunch together. She thought I was being kind to her, what she did not know was how much warmth her company added to me today.
Same with neighbour didi in the morning, she said, it was lovely meeting you and my heart thanked her for opening her door with a smile.
And the Universe knows it wasn’t a silent morning in this building today due to a neighbour’s necessary renovation work. What started as a wondering to when the work will get over, turned into laughter on the whatsapp group where folks coped with the noise by sharing jokes.
And have you noticed the lake which this community is so fortunate to have, have you noticed the flowing blue water of the lake, how simply sitting silently and observing its flow calms you enough to accept the flow of your own life.
Those beautiful birds, both exotic migratory ones yellow, black, white, brown and our adorable (as long as they are on the other side of the window) pigeons which come out every morning and make the journey back every evening.
Oh and the beautiful yellow butterflies fluttering around the trees all around the community.
Do you think they get a little bit of joy by looking at us as much as we get looking at them?
Did I mention the walk here, especially as the sun goes down for the day and the birds go back home. Looking at the elders praying near the peepal tree or youngsters walking around. Kids, dogs having the time of their life running around with a beautiful orange sun setting in the background on one side and the moon rising on the other side and the day’s heat giving way to a much needed soft breeze from the lake. The walks never fail to energize me, with so much positivity all around.
This list wouldn’t be complete without the security guards, housekeeping staff, all the delivery Annas, friends who have made this a home away from home. All playing their part to make this a beautiful community day and night.
Why am I sharing these you ask?
It makes me wonder, no actually it makes me bow humbly to the magnificence of ‘Oneness’, that I seem to experience everyday with the Universe all around me.
It shows me, that somehow we are all connected, that we are not alone in the ups and downs of life, didn’t covid-19 just show that for 2 whole years!
When I am too caught up in my own individual journey, it tells me, all I need to do is look around me and know that as much as we all have our own journey, that we are all in this together.
